2. Loan Use: PPP loans are intended to cover certain expenses, primarily payroll costs. These include employee salaries, wages, tips, benefits, and certain taxes. A portion of the loan amount can also be used for mortgage interest, rent, utilities, and interest on other debt obligations incurred before February 15, 2020.

6. Compliance and Documentation: PPP loan recipients are required to maintain proper documentation and records to substantiate their eligible expenses. This includes keeping records of employment levels, payroll documentation, expense receipts, and other relevant financial documents. These records should be retained for at least six years after the loan forgiveness date.
